Community
School Board Membership
Criteria for membership of the Board shall be:
- a) possession of special skills that will be an asset to the Board;
- b) a deep interest in the welfare of all students and staff;
- c) a desire to give service to the Catholic School Community;
- d) a keenness to promote Catholic schooling;
- e) an ability to work cooperatively and constructively with all other members of the Board;
- f) a sufficiency of time to devote to Board duties.
Parents & Friends Association
Works closely with the Principal to achieve common goals.
Provide a healthy forum for discussion.
Organise social events to build a school community that reflects Christian Values.
Organise fundraising events to attract additional financial resources to the school
Staff Outreach Program
Throughout the year the staff at St Lawrence’s are given the opportunity to help others in the Geraldton community through the Staff Outreach Program. In the past, staff have volunteered their time at Nazareth House, Centacare, Foodbank, St Vinnies and the Salvation Army.
Community Sporting Teams
Students are given opportunities to represent their school in various sporting teams. These include swimming, athletics, netball, cricket, football, basketball, seven a side soccer, hockey and cross country.
